Øresund IT unites Danish and Swedish ICT actors in the Øresund Region. The main mission is to promote and sustain the development of the Øresund IT cluster, a vital Scandinavian ICT region, with more than 100,000 employees, 12,000 companies, 8,000 students and 500 public researchers within ICT.

Supported by the region’s twelve universities, national and regional authorities as well as the business community and venture capitalists, Øresund IT Academy is a catalyst for new business and projects.


Access to knowledge and contacts Øresund IT´s goal is to make the region more attractive by facilitating access to knowledge and contacts by:
• Marketing the Øresund IT cluster in publications, newsletters and on the Internet
• Providing meeting-places, such as seminars, networks and the yearly Human-Tech conference
• Matchmaking through an extensive network within business, higher education and public institutions
• Gathering and disseminating information on subjects of importance for regional stakeholders, for example publications on respectively entrepreneurship and recruitment in the Øresund region
• Identifying and initiating research and development projects


Join Øresund IT
Øresund IT is as of 2005 a member-based organization. Public institutions, businesses, universities from both the Danish and the Swedish side of the Sound have joined the organization to actively influence and participate in a leading IT-cluster.
