Bio-interfaces: From molecular understanding to application
Welcome to the annual Swedish Neutron scattering society meeting and the International Workshop on Biointerfaces held in the 1000 year old city of Lund in Skåne, the southern province of Sweden.
The conference venue is the landmark Grand Hotel in the center of the city.
The Swedish Neutron Scattering Society (SNSS) organizes an annual meeting that addresses the wide range of research for which neutron scattering is an important tool. Last years decision to build the next generation European Neutron source, ESS, in Lund makes Lund an interesting meeting place for neutron scatterers. You will be given the opportunity to visit the future site during the welcome reception.
The Open International workshop “Bio-interfaces: From molecular understanding to application” marks the end of an European Commission sponsored Marie Curie Research Training Network, BIOCONTROL.
The International workshop addresses the biological functions that take place at bio-interfaces. The structure and properties of bio-interfaces, e.g. biological membranes, is important for a multitude of life processes. The workshop will discuss these topics both in terms of resent discoveries and the challenges for future research in the area.
Apart from a number of interesting invited lectures from well-renowned international researchers we welcome oral and poster presentations from participants.
It will be possible to register only to the SNSS meeting.
