Lars Samuelson receives leadership award

Professor Lars Samuelson, director of the Nanometer Structure Consortium at Lund University, has been awarded Morotspriset 2010, for his ability to motivate people to achieve results and to grow as individuals.

”Lars Samuelson – professor and director of the Nanometer Structure Consortium at Lund University – has been instrumental in the development of world class nano research at Lund University. With never ending enthusiasm and visionary thinking, he has clarified the previously unknown for students, Ph.D. students and the establishment. Together with his collegues he has opened up for new technological possibilities."

Morotspriset (or "the Carrot award") is given to leaders, active in Scania. Earlier recipients include Mats Lindoff (Sony Ericsson), Håkan Jeppsson (BE Group) and Mats Boström (Epsilon).

The winner was selected by a jury consisting of: Bengt E Svensson, Motivationshuset, Bengt Adolfsson, Bacapps, Johan Ståhl, Sydsvenskan, Inger Nilsson, Malmö City, Pehr Andersson, Malmö City, Lars Ljungälv, Swedbank and Magnus Willfors, Öhrlings PricewaterhouseCoopers.
