DKK 21 million to DTU Nanotech researchers

The Danish Council for Independent Research has decided to fund a number of projects at DTU Nanotech.

Erik Vilain Thomsen received DKK 2.4 million a project done in collaboration with Rigshospitalet called: NIRS systems for tissue oximetry.

Winnie Edith Svendsen received DKK 2.4 million for the project: Nano-karyotyping: application of Microsystems and nanotechnology in the cytogenetic diagnosis of haamatological malignancies, done in collaboration with Kennedy Centeret.

Noemi Rozlosnik received DKK 2.4 million for the project, she is doing in collaboration with Statens Serum Institut: All-polymer microdevice for early detection of Alzheimer's disease.

Martin Dufva received DKK 5,1 million for his project called: Construction of nanomachines for kinetic studies of gene activity in living cells.

Niels Bent Larsen received DKK 5,3 million for his project called: Microshaping hydrogels and their chemistry in 3D for optimizing and validating immune cell migration.

The Danish Council for Independent Research/Technology and Production Sciences also funds individual postdoc projects. Dirch Hjorth Petersen received DKK 3,5 million for his project called: MECNANO – Methods for Electrical Characterization of Nanomaterials.
