The platform will facilitate cooperation and synergy among the stakeholders in the region and function as a forum where people who work with disaster, emergency, and recovery situations as well as development issues can meet and discuss best practices and develop common solutions and methods.
The Øresund region has a strong representation of stakeholders that work with issues related to humanitarian operations; both organizations, companies, public authorities as well as a knowledge institutions. But the activities among the stakeholders are not coordinated and the expertise and experiences are scattered among many parties. This project will gather and disseminate knowledge and tie together the competences of the different stakeholders in an innovation platform in order to develop common solutions and products for the international, humanitarian operations.
The focus of the platform will be to develop efficient and innovative services, products, methods and IT systems and solutions designed specifically for humanitarian operations. The platform will work within the thematic areas:
Lene is responsible for developing the project Humanitarian Innovation Platform that aims to strengthen the humanitarian cluster in the Øresund region. Lene is also involved in the projects Scandria, Transbaltic and Øresund EcoMobility.
