Knowledge Exchange Networks

Network of people

A core feature of EcoMobility is the three Thematic Knowledge Exchange Networks, investigating opportunities for climate friendlier transportation of goods and people in the Øresund Region. We collect knowledge from existing reports, projects, research etc. and carry out new studies in areas where more knowledge is needed.

The networks cover the following themes:

Green Logistics Hub Øresund - this network deals with the long distance goods that travels to, from or through the region. Specific issues dealt with include

  • green corridors
  • design and control of sustainable supply chains within existing infrastructures
  • how to modify or rebuild infrastructure on a long term to achieve zero carbon emitting transports

City Transport and Logistics- this network deals with all transports within urban areas, passenger as well as goods transports. Specific issues include

  • space utilization for transports in urban areas
  • urban Consolidation Centres (UCC)
  • indicators measuring sustainable transports
  • travel behaviours of leisure travellers and tourists.
  • university courses for students and professionals

Biofuels and Energy Systems - this network deals with potentially viable bio fuels for the Øresund region, both in terms of available bio mass to convert to fuel as well as the influence of the two different national strategies on bio fuels pursued by the Danish and Swedish governments. The specific fuels considered are:

  • biogas
  • bioethanol
  • biohydrogen
  • biobutanol
