I work part time at the Department for Biotechnology, specifically with the EcoMobility project.
I also work for Biogas Syd, a project in the Energy Agency of South Sweden. I work with pre-studies, information and education about biogas production, especially in the farming sector. Among other things I am, presently, responsible for a project with the aim to identify barriers for introducing biogas tractors on the Swedish market. I am also engaged as a biogas specialist in a new Interregional project in the community of Trelleborg in cooperation with north Poland, an in different biogas projects in communities and elsewhere.

Wandel focuses on industry-University collaborations and serves on the boards of: the ILG program at VINNOVA, Øresund Logistics , UBQ AB running Scandinavian Shuttle, a road-rail kombi transport Project for EU Marco Polo , and Secure Logistics AB , a spinout company from Lund University. Together with PhD students he do research on Innovative Security Systems NGIL , reducing counterfeits, thefts and terrorism in distribution and transport, and on how to reduce the impact of logistics on climate change with: redesign of supply chains in NGIL , low carbon logistics and freight transport 2050 LETS Gods 2050 , Green Logistic Hub in ECOMOBILITY .

My current focus is within sustainable logistics and supply chain management, investigating possible and competitive ways of reducing green house gas emissions from freight transport. Of special interest is to better understand the connection between logistics decisions and transport emissions, and subsequently reduce the latter through, for example, risk and gain sharing mechanisms, novel business models, and regulatory measures.

Managing Director for VINNEXELLENCE Center NGIL (Next Generation Innovative Logistics). Involved in projects with focus on how the package can be used to make the supply chain more sustainable, mainly by focusing on integrated product and packaging development, use of simple materials, better utilization of the unit load, and application of ITS for trace and tracking. Other activities related to EcoMobility are simulation as a modeling tool for evaluation of different intermodal scenarios.

My research is about “Sustainable development of logistics, specially packaging logistics, from a complexity theory perspective”. The holy grail of my current research is analysis of effects of complex logistics and supply chain systems on ecosystems, economy, society and vice versa. During the EcoMobility project, I intend to study the role of packages and packaging in development of environmentally friendly logistics and supply chains.

Project leader for the NGIL project “Design and Control of Sustainable Supply Chains”. Activities directly related to the EcoMobility project include development of models for management and evaluation of integrated inventory and sustainable freight transportation systems. Including supply chain strategies for shipment consolidation, lateral transshipments and combinations of different modes of transportation.

Sven Axsäter is participating in the NGIL project ”Design and Control of Sustainable Supply Chains”. His research has for a long time been focused on multi-echelon inventory systems. He has, for example, developed exact evaluation methods for distribution inventory systems with stochastic demand. Of particular relevance for the EcoMobility project is his work on lateral transshipments and combinations of different types of transportation.

Carl-Magnus Carlsson is MA in Economic History and Economics and responsible of the Bachelor Programme Transport Management at Malmö University. He is senior lecturer in Transport and Communications Economics. Carlsson participates in several international projects, primarily related to transportation, traffic, logistics and infrastructure. These include the now completed Interreg IIIa project Strategic Transport Management in the Øresund Region (STMÖ) the present INTERREG IV project EcoMobility within the City Transport and Logistics Network (TVN2) and as member of the Board of the European Network of Logistics Competence Centers (ENLoCC)

Senior Project Manager at Malmoe University and former Manager of the STMÖ-project. Rolf is also Member of Board of Öresund Logistics, a network organization for danish and Swedish actors within logistics.

Mats Janné holds a M.Sc in Transport systems analysis and is employed as project manager at Malmö University. He works primarily within the fields of logistics and supply chain management and has a special interest in the sustainability issues within logistics systems. In the EcoMobility project, Janné is working with issues related to distribution of goods in urban areas.

Finished Diplom Geograph with minor fields Economics, Environmental Management and Transport. Thesis topic: ” Barries and Opportunities for Sustainable Transport in Companies: Case Study of Coloplast (DK)”.
Started work at RUC in October 2009 and before I was shorttime employeed at the European Environmental Agency (EEA).

Professor Irini Angelidaki is head of the Bioenergy group at DTU Environment. The group research deals with the biological conversion of organic matter to either energy carriers such as biogas, bioethanol and biohydrogen by anaerobic biotechnological methods or to direct electricity production by microbial fuel cells. The main research topics are: Biogas processes, Biohydrogen, anaerobic microbiology, microbial fuel cells and Biorefinery

As the network coordinator for Biofuels and Energy Systems, her focus is primarily on the collection of knowledge on the possibilities of promoting new sustainable energy carriers and technology systems for the transport sector, with focus on feasibility studies of the applicability of different energy systems in the Øresund region. The work aims at lifting the regional level of competence through university courses on sustainable energy carriers and technology systems; publications; conferences; workshops; website, match making etc.

Researcher Kanokwan Boe works within the field of biogas including anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, modelling, process monitoring, control and optimization. Especially focus is on VFA concentration coupled with biogas production to be used as control parameters for optimization of the biogas process. This research is performed in strong collaboration with Danish biogas plant operators.

Master of Science (civil engineering). Specialties: sustainable transportation system. Work with strategies and measures for a sustainable transportation systems, which for example includes mobility management/transport demand management. Travelhabits and impact assesments in personal transportation is an important working field. In this project I will analyze the impact of different transportation measures in the Oresundregion that could be implemented to fast reduce oilconsumtion in the case of an oilcrisis. This is part of a project called "Snabb anpassning av transportsystemet till minskad oljekonsumtion"

Head of business area "sustainable transportation". Works with planning, development, evaluation and research in several projects concerning sustainable urban planning and development, transport strategies, mobility management, public transport, transport and climate change, etc. Programme-coordinator of the LETS-programme at Lund University ( www.lets2050.se )
